The history of the school

Ysgol Gyfun Pantycelyn was built in 1896 and became the first Comprehensive school in Carmarthenshire in 1958 combining the High School or Grammar School and the Secondary Modern school.  It was  then known as Llandovery Comprehensive school. The school's name then changed to Ysgol Gyfun Pantycelyn in the 1970's.
