Every effort is made to promote the use of the Welsh language and the children are encourged to converse and write in their native tongue at every opportunity.

Pupils are also encouraged to explore the cultural, environmental, historical and linguistic characteristics of Wales through their projects.

Miss games continues to attend night classes in a bid to improve her Welsh skills and she is supported in the delivery of lessons by Helen Davies, Mrs Forsyth(Art department), John Hessletine and Anne Jenkins in the Technology department.

And of course the Welsh department is always on hand to offer help and support. At the moment they are working collaborately with the department to provide Welsh text, having explored the theme of birds in their creative writing lessons.
