Many people in the world of Fashion are male and there are numerous career opportunities in the field of design. Just think someone had to design your clothing, sportswear, leisure equipment and soft furnishings.

There are numerous careers associated with the science of Textiles. Just think where would we be without tyres, seat belts and car interiors? What would firemen, policemen and rescue services do without specialist clothing?

Not everyone who works in the textile industry is female. Many are male.

I am extremely happy to say that the number of boys studying textiles has increased this year and I hope this continues to be the case in the future.
