All pupils learn French in Years 7-9 and have 4 lessons a fortnight. We focus on the 4 key language skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.

Key Stage 4

French is an optional subject in Years 10 and 11, with pupils taking the WJEC exam at GCSE Level. There are 5 lessons a fortnight... More...

Key Stage 5

In Years 12 and 13, pupils study French to AS and A Level and are entered for the WJEC exam. They have 8 taught lessons per fortnight and additional conversation lessons with the French Assistant.
